Footprints
One night I dreamed a dream.
I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord. When the last scene of my life shot before me I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life. This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma."Lord, You told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why, when I need You most, You leave me."He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."

Making time for God

I was just thinking about how long its been since I have seen all of you or even posted on this blog. That got me to thinking how little time we leave for the things we love the most. I noticed that with all my schoolwork and other things going on in my life I have left very little time devoted to God. I want to ask you to pray for me. Pray that God would be the focus of my life again. I doubt I will post again before school's out,so have a good summer!

Verses of the Day

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Psalm 9:9 The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.

Psalm 55:22  Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Romans 8:6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

I am grateful that we can
cast all our worries, fears,
and doubts on the Lord
and we can find peace in
Him. There is no reason to
be afraid because we have
a God who loves us and is
                       always watching over us.

Average isn't good enough!!!!

It is so easy to just sit back and watch people turn away from God and actually say they hate him. This never happened at covenant Classical, but now that I'm in public school I can see how much our schools need revival. It's not just the kids in these schools. It's the fact that our culture has made it impossible for teachers to even talk about God in school. We are called to tell other kids in our school about what they're missing. It is sad to think that some of the kids in my school have never even heard of Jesus. Sure, it's their choice whether they accept Jesus or not, but kids aren't even told about him. It's not too late for them. Maybe God has placed us in their lives to bring them into his love. This is where we are called to go out of our comfort zone and preach the love of  God. We are all God's children. Isn't it about time they knew?

I love this song (winter snow by audry assad) because it's talking about how God could have come to save us any other way, but he chose to send his son, the perfect sacrifice, to bring salvation to the world.

Amen!!!

click on the picture and a link to the song will come up.

"Everyone who believes in Jesus the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. 2 We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments. 3 Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. 5 And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
6 And Jesus Christ was revealed as God’s Son by his baptism in water and by shedding his blood on the cross—not by water only, but by water and blood.
11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12Whoever has the Son has life;".

I found this so inspirational: whoever is a child of God loves all God's children: everyone on this earth. That is what a true Christian is called to do. love everyone no matter who they are or what they do. Love them like God loves them, like God loves you. This is a lot to ask and no one is perfect, but we should strive to do this.

How God Reveals Himself

For me God reveals Himself through songs and by directly speaking to me. Usually these two will go together. For instance, I was just thinking of the song "Give Me Your Eyes" and then God  spoke to me in my mind, "There are so many people in the world without access to my love."he said "I am love and I am calling you to show them the love I have for them." It's amazing what God will show and tell you. We as Christians are called to show others God's love in everything we do. So far I haven't been living up to that expectation very well and I hope to do better. God bless you always!!!! I love you guys!!!!

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

God calls us to take an unexpected road. He calls
us to take the road of being His messengers. It doesn't
matter how we spread His good news. It can even be in
the little acts of kindness you do every day.
God loves you and He will never ever leave you no
matter what.
